365 Inspirations—121: Free Fallin'

It's Wednesday evening! My teaching week is over. On the way home from the college, Tom Petty was singing "I'm free.....frrrreeeeeeeee fallin'."

Sometimes I think the radio knows what I'm thinking and creates a personalized soundtrack for my mood.

The song makes me think of driving in a convertible with the top down on a desolate road in the desert somewhere. There's a gentle wind and milllions of stars are out and there is not a care in the entire world....

Just the wind, the stars and this feeling of FREEDOM!

There's not even a destination.

There's nowhere to go and nothing to do.

Just BE.

I think I miss this. I miss traveling with no particular destination in mind. I miss meeting new people, seeing new places and having new and different experiences.

Perhaps I'm stuck in a rut.

Maybe it's a midlife crisis?

All I know for sure is that I'm ready to spread my wings and FLY!

It's time.......
