365 Inspirations—88: Full Moon and Movie Night

"There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls."—George Carlin

It's after midnight and the full moon is huge. Yoon and I went to see Stephanie Meyers's new movie called The Host. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen but it had some interesting concepts about humans and aliens.

I did not read the book. Perhaps I should now. It's a sci-fi sort of night out. I feel I'm still not back from my trip and for some reason blogger is composing in a very strange font. We'll see what happens when I push publish.

I'm on inspiration 88. I may only go to 100. I'm still debating this. It's been hard being online every single day. I did it for one year before, but I'm feeling different about it this time.

While on vacation on The Big Island, it was very hard to keep up with this blog. The energy of the island was so pure and I wanted to be completely immersed in where I was without the use of technology. I don't know. Maybe I'm changing? Maybe I'm ready to write my next book or change where I live. It's one of those mysterious nights. It will all change tomorrow. Good night everyone. Hope you got to see the moon.

Question for you today: Do you think the moon affects people's moods?

  1. I don't know if the full moon affects people's moods, but I think looking at the moon and considering it can definitely make us introspective. Good luck in your decisionmaking about your future!

  2. I absolutely think the moon affects moods. I have a cop friend and an er nurse friend. Both would tell you the worst nights are full moons. That and the heat. If the moon is strong enough to affect the tides we are surely affected by it!

  3. I absolutely believe the moon affects people's moods. I am a nurse for over 40 years. The full moon brings out the crazy in everyone. ER's are full of people in crisis! Hospital inpatients are restless. This has never been proven scientifically and in fact, science has DISPROVED it. But ask any nurse...she/he will give you the straight scoop. My advice: never make a life-changing decision when the moon is full. Wait at least a day 'til it begins waning!

  4. Hi I wanted to say that you need not force yourself to do something that you do not feel 100% like doing. It worked the first time to be online everyday but you are not the same person anymore. It is ok to change and to listen to your heart.

Perhaps once a week? or whenever you really feel like connecting? I think you need to do what you feel is true for you. You won't let us down, we will support you all the way!

  5. Thanks for all your very interesting comments!!! The first night of the full moon, a very strange man knocked on our door at 1:30AM and continued to howl and moan and sing and laugh. We finally had to call the cops to have them take him away. I agree with you all. It is not smart to make any life-changing decisions on full moon night! I'm still doing the daily blog and I do enjoy it. I will do it for as long as I enjoy it ^_^!
